DIVORCE GROUPS

Monica offers groups for school age and preadolescent/adolescent children as well as parenting classes. Below is a list of groups presently being offered. Please contact Monica for additional information regarding sessions for the groups.

DIVORCE SERVICES

I offer a variety of divorce related services to clients which include:

  • Court Appointed Child and Family Investigator
  • Parenting Coordinator
  • Decision Maker
  • “divorce coach”:  helping parents navigate through the divorce process, develop parenting plans, co-parenting support
  • “Divorce coach/child divorce specialist” as part of the collaborative law process 

    THERAPY FOR INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES WORKING THROUGH A DIVORCE

    Divorce can be a challenging and intimidating process for many individuals, parents and children, however, it can be an opportunity for personal growth, and a renewed sense of direction and purpose in life. It can be an opportunity to break unhealthy patterns of communicating in relationships. Through the therapy process, you can transform outdated modes of communicating, and learn new ways of relating to others, allowing for a new, harmonious expression of you!

    My daughter first met Monica during a divorce group for kids. In this workshop, she became a much stronger person regarding her rights as a child of divorce. My daughter also benefits from ongoing therapy, as she is ADD. After the divorce workshop, she wanted her ongoing therapy to be with Monica. With Monica's help, she is learning social skills that are so very important in the lives of a child, and especially an ADD child. Our family has found Monica to encouraging, empathetic, compassionate and helpful. We feel blessed to have her in our lives. JD

    Monica is amazing! Her dealing with divorce group is great. She has been such a help in teaching our son coping skills to deal with our very high conflict divorce. She has aided him in dealing with his anger, loss and hurt feelings, and taught him how to tell us when he feels he is being put in the middle.     Monica has been seeing my 9 year old daughter for nearly 3 years becoming a true lifeline to all of us. My daughter was having difficulty adjusting to the reality of her parents divorcing, one parent remarrying and subsequently living in 2 homes with very different atmospheres.
